If you cannot split the bands on your ISP deployed router, you can create a subnet.

If your Remo+ device cannot connect to your ISP deployed, dual band router, and there is no possibility of configuring it, you can create your own 2.4 GHz subnet by adding an inexpensive router to your existing network. This does not require replacing your current router and will not disrupt your WiFi network in any way.

A good, inexpensive option that we have tested and recommend is the TP Link N300 router.  This router is simple, easy to setup and will provide the perfect 2.4 GHz network environment for your Remo+ device and any other 2.4 GHz IoT devices you might have.

Please use these easy to follow instructions to setup your TP Link router.

When you are finished, join the newly created 2.4 GHz network with your mobile device and reset and register your Remo+ device.

Once your Remo+ device is registered to the network, you can rejoin your main network with your mobile device.  There’s no need to stay connected to the 2.4 GHz network once your Remo+ device is registered.
