Pixelated or a partially green video can easily be resolved with a settings adjustments within the Remo+ app and/or rebooting your mobile device.
Video pixelation and ‘green screen’ can indicate a weak Wi-Fi signal at the location of the device. This can occur if the device is too far from the wireless access point or router.
Adjust the Settings in the Remo+ App (iOS & Android)
- Open ‘Settings’ in the Remo+ app and set ‘Video Quality’ to ‘Low’ and ‘Connection Mode’ to ‘Quality’. If this resolves the issue, try bumping up the ‘Video Quality’ but leave ‘Connection Mode’ on ‘Quality’.
Restart Your Device (iOS & Android)
- Restart your device – If video quality is poor, try restarting your device to free up memory.
You can check the -RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) by opening the Remo+ app, tapping the ‘Info’ icon at the bottom of the ‘Home’ screen and then tapping on your device in the ‘Your Devices’ list. You will see the ‘Network Signal Strength’ at the bottom of the list. You can improve this value by moving the device closer to the router or vice versa. A more permanent solution would be to add a Wi-Fi extender to the network.
